1050 Triumph Speed speed to maintain the same basic 1050cc three-cylinder engine from last year, but with a little tweak some of the bikes which allows it to breathe a little easier. A revised airbox now has a filter area that is 10% larger, while the revised fuel injection software is claimed to improve fuel economy by 6%. A new sump allows for closer packing of the exhaust and provides more ground clearance. The header pipe diameter is reduced to 38mm (from 42mm), and secondary exhaust pipe was enlarged to 50.8mm (from 44.5mm), all for "more power can be used". Triumph 1050 speed should be at dealers before the summer and will be available for $ 11,799.
