Yamaha V-Max is the car original power. When launched in 1985 is nothing quite like it. The bike was panned by the magazine enthusiastically to ill-treatment, but praise for its 1197cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 70-degree V-Four engine and get it outshone any negative initial and honor, then, a cult status. The new VMAX Yamaha is powered by the all-new, liquid-cooled, DOHC, V-Four engine displacing 1679cc (an increase of almost 500cc). Where the old bike produced 120 horsepower, the new Yamaha VMAX issued hp and 113 lb.-ft. 174 of torque.
